College

College

For most young adults, departing for college is the first move of your lives. It’s a significant transition that elicits a wide range of emotions, depending on the individual’s personal make-up: anticipation, excitement, impatience, perhaps a tinge of fear and trepidation, and most definitely, anxiety. There’s so much you don’t know, especially about what to bring with you. How can you be expected to handle a move all by yourself?

Returning students who are planning to live off campus or in a Greek life home typically lack the means or muscle to move what you want into your new space, plus the know-how to organize your room efficiently. So you call on family or “brawny” highly-coordinated and careful friends to help. Visions of dropped and damaged possessions fill your head. It can all be so stressful.

Don’t panic. Call on the life transitions experts at Austin Home Transitions. We’ll take care of all aspects of the move, from helping design the room, shopping for needed items and packing up at home to coordinating with the roommate and unloading and organizing everything at your new home. We even put up artwork and decorate the walls! Whatever makes the place comfortable and uniquely you. All you have to do is show up and start the new school year strong.
